CLINTON SAVINGS BANK PARTNERS WITH ROTARY TO FUND DISASTER PROGRAM

Local Campaign to Fund and Ship ShelterBoxes to Disaster Areas

Clinton Savings Bank announced today that it will partner with the Rotary Club of Clinton for a month-long campaign to raise funds for ShelterBoxes, a Rotary program that sends vital survival gear to disaster areas around the globe. Every year, hundreds of thousands of people all over the world are affected by disasters – like the recent earthquakes in Haiti and Chile – and often lose everything, including their homes. ShelterBox instantly responds by delivering boxes of aid that supply an extended family of up to 10 people with a tent, water filtration system, stoves, pots and pans and basic tools to use while they are displaced.

“One of the most basic necessities for all human beings is shelter,” stated Robert J. Paulhus, Jr., President & CEO of Clinton Savings Bank. “Part of our business is helping our neighbors get into the home of their dreams. In our own community, we have supported groups like Habitat for Humanity – that help those in need of shelter locally. The Rotary’s ShelterBox program is an opportunity for our community to reach out to others in the world by giving displaced families the tools and shelter needed to rebuild after a disaster. We are committed to play a role in that effort and support the Clinton Rotary”
