Clinton Savings Bank Receives Thousands of Donations to Help Local Students Prepare For Back-To-School
(CLINTON, Mass., August 25, 2025) – For the third consecutive year, Clinton Savings Bank (CSB) partnered with local radio station 104.5 WXLO to bring the community together to collect supplies for our annual Back-to-School Drive. The campaign began in late July with radio ads, social media outreach, and in-branch materials inviting customers and community members to donate school supplies. Contributions ensured that local students had the essentials they needed to start the school year ready to learn.
The drive culminated on August 23rd with the Lemonade Back-to-School Refresher celebration at CSB’s Shrewsbury branch, 200 Hartford Turnpike, where 104.5 WXLO radio personalities Frank Foley and Jen Carter joined CSB staff to welcome families with refreshing lemonade, fun giveaways, and back-to-school spirit.
“The outpouring of support from our staff, customers and communities this year was truly heartwarming — it went beyond anything we anticipated,” said Mary T. Dean, President & CEO of Clinton Savings Bank. “This campaign is a wonderful reminder of what we can accomplish together and we’re so grateful for our partnership with 104.5 WXLO in bringing people together to support our local school children.”
“We were immensely proud and excited to see so many people come out and support the event with donations, including Sheriff Lew Evangelidis of Worcester County,” said Bob Goodell, General Manager of 104.5 WXLO.
With thousands of donations from the event, Clinton Savings Bank was able to send school supplies to Coolidge Elementary in Shrewsbury, Boylston Elementary in Boylston, Clinton Elementary in Clinton, Houghton Elementary in Sterling, & Major Edwards Elementary in West Boylston.
