For the Seventh Year Clinton Savings Bank Participates in Read Across America Day

(CLINTON, Mass., March 5, 2024) – For the seventh year the staff of Clinton Savings Bank (CSB) and Scratch The Savings Cat participated in National Read Across America Day (Dr. Seuss Day) with the children at Boylston Elementary School, Boylston, Ma.

The annual event promotes the joy of reading and is filled with various events showing appreciation for Dr. Seuss’s iconic characters and stories that continue to inspire and entertain generations of people.

“We are thrilled once again to be a part of a day that inspires a nation of readers,” said Robert J. Paulhus, Jr., President & CEO of Clinton Savings Bank. “This motivational and awareness day calls all children and youth in every community across the United States to celebrate reading. It encourages them to read wherever they are.”

Reading to young children is an important way to help them build language skills. It exposes them to new words and ways of using language. It also helps them learn general information about the world, which makes it easier for them to learn about new subjects in school.
