Interest is compounded daily and credited to your account on the last day of the month.

What is the difference between a Savings Account and a Certificate of Deposit?

A savings account lets you access your funds when you want. You can make deposits and withdrawals anytime. CDs however, are term deposits, so funds are locked up for a specific amount of time. Savings accounts are generally a variable rate account and can change, while the yield on a CD is fixed for the term.

Is my balance insured?

Yes, Clinton Savings Bank offers both Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and Depositors Insurance Fund (DIF) to protect your deposits. FDIC covers up to $250,000 in deposits per account owner/ownership category. This means individual accounts and joint accounts at insured institutions can each receive $250,000 of insurance with a common account owner. All deposits above the FDIC insurance amount are insured by the Depositors Insurance Fund (DIF).

1Anyone under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian jointly on the account. The account is opened in the child's name, as well as the parent/guardian's name and both signatures are required to complete a withdrawal. In the month the student turns 19, the account will automatically convert to a Get Real Statement Savings Account. This will be a joint account requiring one (1) signature for withdrawals and will be subject to the fees and requirements applicable to the Get Real Statement Savings Account. If you'd like your school to participate in our Banking Days program, please call Marketing at 888-744-4272.

2If this condition is not met, the bank reserves the right to convert this account to Statement Savings and be subject to the fees and requirements applicable to that account.

3Must be at least 14 years old to open a Get Real Statement Savings Account; anyone under 18 will need a signature of a parent or legal guardian as a joint owner. Upon the tax owner turning 25 years of age, the account will convert to a Statement Savings Account and be subject to fees and requirements applicable to the Statement Savings Account.
